The Ultimate in Velvet Black
The Black King Kong (BKK) is a Taiwan Bee mutation prized for its incredibly deep, opaque coloration. Unlike the standard Crystal Black, the BKK possesses a shell thickness and gloss that makes the black look like polished obsidian or velvet. They are stunningly visible against green plants and lighter substrates.
We offer two stunning variations:
-
Striped: The classic look featuring broad, jet-black sections broken by distinct bands of white (Panda pattern).
-
Extreme: For the purist. These shrimp are almost entirely solid black, with tiny white accents on the tail tip, creating a sleek, shadowy silhouette.
Recommended Water Parameters: These require stable, soft, acidic water conditions. A chiller or temperature-controlled environment is highly recommended for long-term success.
